The Upside of Your Dark Side
Dr. Robert Biswas-Diener is widely known as the “Indiana Jones of Psychology” because his research on social psychology has taken him to such far-flung places as Greenland, India, Kenya, and Israel. He has conducted studies with the Amish, Maasai tribal people, sex workers, seal hunters living near the North Pole and a variety of other groups traditionally overlooked by psychologists.
Robert is a leading authority on strengths, culture, courage, and happiness and has published dozens of scholarly articles on these topics. He sits on the editorial boards of the Journal of Positive Psychology and the Journal of Happiness Studies.
Robert is also the foremost authority on positive psychology coaching and has consulted with a wide range of international organizations on performance management and leadership development. He is Managing Director of Positive Acorn, a Portland-based consultancy with programs in coaching, positive education, and strengths-based management. Each year Robert trains thousands of professionals in a dozen countries to use positive psychology in their work.
Robert has written a number of books including Happiness: Unlocking The Mysteries of Psychological Wealth, The Courage Quotient and The Upside of Your Dark Side.
